We have designed the bowling enhancement to be extremently fault-tolerant… and we have made absolutely sure that no matter what happens, you simply can’t be charged twice.

If you are having difficulties purchasing bowling, the most likely situation is that the transaction has been interrupted at some point (WiFi or 3G has dropped out at a critical moment). The way to deal with this is to simply tap “Purchase Bowling” again and go through the process once more; if you have already been charged for the extension, it will simply report that you have already purchased it and continue with the installation.

Once the transaction has completed, you will see a “With Bowling Extension” logo underneath the main “Cricket” logo in the main menu and you will see an option to select bowling first or second in the “Game” menu.

I hope this helps!

If you are getting the Environment:Sandbox error, we think this is an issue caused by jailbroken devices. Please see this thread for more details.

Hi Gail,

It’s not clear where your problem might be, so I’ll just run through a detailed explanation of how to purchase Bowling, please let me know if you have any more specific questions!

First of all, your device needs to be connected to the Internet in some way to purchase Bowling. If you have an iPhone, that can be 3G or on an iPod it has to be WiFi. Check that you’ve got a good connection first, easiest way is to visit a website in Safari. Then load Cricket and make sure that you are allowing the game to access the Internet in the Network Settings screen inside Options. We give you some options here about how you allow the game to access the ’net (assuming you have a stable connection already).

Once the game can access the Internet, you can then go into the Shop and in Featured Products select Bowling and then tap either on the price or on the Make Purchase button at the bottom. Apple will ask for your AppleID password in order to complete the purchase. We’ll then confirm everything with Apple and download the upgrade.

If anything goes wrong at all, rest assured that the way we’ve got everything set up, we can only ever charge you once for anything. If there is a problem, or if you want to install Bowling on your iPad, just run through the process again. Apple will ask for your password and tell you that you will be charged but then will check if you’ve already paid and if you have, will let you apply the upgrade again for free.

Update: edited so instructions follow the new shop procedures.

If you are trying to purchase or re-purchase Bowling in 2.6.89 and it’s not working, you are probably being hit by the “Cannot connect to iTunes” bug. You can read more detail on that problem over here and we will be updating that thread and as we make progress.

Thanks for your patience.
