
The timing of the shot affects the angle. The further away from the perfect timing the more likely it is you’ll put up a sitter. As the difficulty levels it gets tougher to stay on top of perfect timing as it gets a lot less forgiving.
Of course, shots like pulls, will loft less than hooks. Drives will lift less than slogs, etc. Also, power is linked to the length of the line you draw, so if you draw a shorter line you can make the ball fall short.
